Featured Dog-Friendly Place
The Standard Biergarten
|
|
|
As the weather warms up, there’s hardly a better spot for a happy hour beer than The Standard Biergarten. Tucked beneath the High Line, this lively open-air patio serves up classic German favorites—think sausages, giant pretzels, and plenty of cold beer. There are ping-pong tables, too, which makes the whole place feel a little like a backyard party in the middle of Manhattan.
It’s great for big groups, but just as easy to swing by with your pup. You’re also a short stroll from the Gansevoort Peninsula Small Dog Park and the West Side Highway trail, perfect for a quick walk before or after your drink. If you’re a basketball fan, they’ll also be showing March Madness from March 15 through April 6.

Meet Rasta
Meet Rasta, he is a sensitive little guy, with a sweet personality.
Their breed is Cavalier mix.
He is an adorable two year old.
He is just 12 pounds.
He can be skittish in new situations, so he’ll thrive with someone who understands dog behavior.
He would do wonderfully in a home with another confident dog who can help show him the ropes and boost his confidence.
Other notes from her foster:
He is both house trained and crate trained.
Because loud noises and sudden movements can overwhelm him, Rasta would do best in a home without young or very active children.
Let's help find Rasta his furever home!
