Chief Barketing Officer, Pamplemousse, sporting her Madame X harness on the steps of the Met
One of NYC’s Best Dog-Friendly Neighborhoods 🐾🌆
There’s a fun Italian term, Campanilismo, meaning loyalty to your own “bell tower” or neighborhood pride. New Yorkers totally get it. We all love our neighborhoods, and we all think ours is the best. 🗽 Pamplemousse, our Chief Barketing Officer, is no different. A Tennessee rescue living her best life on the Upper East, she’s convinced it’s one of the best—if not the best—dog-friendly neighborhoods in the city. 🐾
You might beg to differ, but you can trust that Pamplemousse knows her stuff when it comes to this furbulous corner of Manhattan. She (and the rest of the Jet Set Pets team) has rounded up the best of the dog-friendly Upper East Side—from pet-friendly restaurants 🍝 and hotels 🏨 to parks 🌳 and local shops 🛍️—so you and your furry sidekick can explore like true UES insiders. 🐶👜✨
Red is 3 years old, 25lbs, and looks to be part fox. She’s a little shy and timid, but we know in time she’ll open up to just the right person.
Originally rescued by our friends at Dorothy in Korea, Red was found at Gangneung shelter. Shelters in Korea are much different than our norm here in the states - many feature outdoor kennels with no climate control, are extremely underfunded and understaffed, and absolutely bursting at the seams with pets. The stigma against “big” dogs there leaves even smaller sized dogs like Red left to the euthenasia list.
Now in foster care in the states, Red is starting to discover herself. Thanks to her patient foster, she’s taking it day by day. As she explores the home and neighborhood, she’s slowly but surely figuring out the wonders of living with humans. With continued support and guidance from her forever family and trainer, we have no doubt she’ll blossom into your bestest of friends.
