Skyline views, cold drinks, and pups by your side—yes, please.
If you’re looking for a spot where your pup can sprawl out while you sip something cold and take in million-dollar Manhattan views, Anable Basin Sailing Bar & Grill in Long Island City delivers. Tucked off Vernon Blvd down what feels like a random industrial street, it opens up into a waterfront hangout with picnic tables, sunset views, and a laid-back, family-friendly vibe. Expect casual bites and comfort staples, such as burgers, shrimp rolls, and chevapi in a pita, perfect for enjoying while soaking in the skyline. With beer, wine, and a full bar, it’s easy to settle in, relax, and watch the city light up across the river.
Bonus if you don’t live in the neighborhood: it’s about a 10-minute walk from the dog-friendly ferry and Gantry Plaza Park, where you can snap a pic of your pup in front of the iconic Pepsi-Cola sign.

Meet Storm
We had a chance to meet Storm this weekend in Brooklyn and fell in love with this sweetheart.
From her fosters: Don’t let her name fool you — Storm is all sunshine and snuggles! This sweet girl may have had a rough start, found wandering into traffic and clearly used for breeding, but her spirit is as unshakable as her love is deep.
Storm is an absolute mush who melts into your arms the moment you sit down. She’s got a heart bigger than a thundercloud and enough love to light up your whole sky. Her gentle demeanor and colorful eyes will have you wondering how you ever lived without her.
Storm is ready for her forever forecast: calm days, cozy nights, and plenty of belly rubs. She’s great with people, including kids, AND guinea pigs! She is looking for a family who can shower her with the kindness she’s always deserved. Storm isn't a fan of cats, but may enjoy a small dog as a companion. Storm is also house-trained and knows to do her business outside.
Let's help Storm find her furever home!
